    Laura Harring had her breakthrough role in 2001 in Mulholland Drive. Receiving an Alma Award for her groundbreaking work in the David Lynch production, Laura Harring elicited comparisons to classic stars such as the legendary Rita Hayworth by Roger Ebert, and the goddess Ava Gardner by the International Herald Tribune. She subsequently acted opposite Oscar winners William Hurt, Javier Bardem, Denzel Washington and Forest Whitaker. As well as other talented Hollywood royals such as Emma Roberts, Gabriel Garcia Bernal and Raul Julia at the beginning of her career. Laura Harring even acted opposite the legendary shy man Bob Dylan.

    In 2007, Laura Harring took on a memorable role alongside Javier Bardem in director Mike Newell’s Love in the Time of Cholera, which was based on Nobel Prize-winning author Gabriel Garcia Marquez’s novel of the same name. Two years later, she earned Outstanding Actress recognition at Outfest for her work in the critically lauded dark comedy Drool. Her television roles encompass The Shield, Gossip Girl and Chasing Life among others. Ms. Harring is particularly sought out for her ability to portray strong, matriarchal and complex characters.

    With a strong sense of community commitment, Laura Harring engaged with the David Lynch Foundation as a goodwill ambassador, when the foundation was first opened. Laura Harring also traveled to Africa in support of Stop Hunger Now (now Rise Against Hunger) and visited numerous hospitals and nursing homes throughout the United States. Her eclectic philosophy is that the power of Love can heal anything.
